Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Dental Directorate, as a Dental Imaging and IT systems Manager.
This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week.
You will be an individual with an excellent track-record in IT, combined with the commitment and leadership skills to support delivery of an ambitious and exciting vision for our service.
Face to face Interviews will be held on Friday 16th June 2023.
Main duties of the job
The Dental Imaging and IT systems Manager is responsible for the management, maintenance, support, systems development associated with Dental and Trust IT systems and project management. This position ensures support is provided for the Directorate IT systems on a daily basis. The post holder would need to be an expert in their field in order to be able to resolve highly complex IT issues and support Dental Directorate in future projects. The post holder will work with clinicians and managers to ensure provision of the best possible patient experience and service delivery. A key role will be the rigorous definition, planning and oversight of the project including risk and issue management.

The Test Manager will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach to testing combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that software applications and services perform to the requirements of its users and clinicians. The post holder will lead on all testing activities as required.
Establish relationships with suppliers, IT Operations Service Management, project managers, clinical safety officer and senior clinical and administrative managers, facilitating resolution of conflicts in the testing area.
Undertaking day to day management of the Test Management team allocating work packages to Test Analysts.
Line Manager to Test Lead and I T Testers, managing sickness and annual leave of the team
Taking responsibility for the professional development of Test team members.
Accountable for Test estimates, Test Planning, Test execution, Test report and Final Test Sign Off
Handle multiple projects and plan up to a year in advance.
Manage different levels of testing, especially SIT and UAT
Provide project management expertise to the individuals in the project team and ensure that the leads have clear responsibilities, priorities, timescales and track delivery.
Develop business cases, including feasibility studies, outline business cases (OBC), and detailed scheme designs.
Provide regular status reports to the Senior IT Management.
Forecast and coordinate demand for resources, IT and business.
The Test Manager will establish and maintain relationships with user organisations, service managers, clinicians, suppliers and NHS Test leads/analysts as appropriate in order to maintain and develop the Trust's Test service.
Promote and adopt best ISTQB practices in developing Testing Process.
Act as an expert point of contact for external organization and other Trusts.
Managing KPIs and present that to senior management .

- Extensive knowledge and expertise in Dental Radiographic processes and use of Dental software - Romexis, I-Dixel, PACS and CRIS
