Job summary
The Imperial College Renal and Transplant Centre opened at the Hammersmith Hospital in November 2005 and has become the largest facility of its kind in Europe.
We have 4 inpatient wards totaling 71 beds (12 HDU) and a programmed investigation unit offering a ward attender/day case service of 18 beds.
The service also has an acute haemodialysis unit, 9 satellite dialysis units, peritoneal dialysis and home haemodialysis teams; nurse led chronic kidney disease team, Live donor team and 2 outpatient clinics looking after over 3,100 patients on renal replacement therapy.
The Renal Clinic at Hammersmith Hospital provides ongoing outpatient care for our transplant, Vasculitis, Lupus patients. We have combined cardiac, rheumatology, ENT, Eye clinic also.
We are looking for an experienced renal nurse to become part of this highly skilled team. You will oversee the delivery of high quality, safe, effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers.
You will have the support of the Senior Clinical Nurse specialists & Senior Sisters.

- To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision
- Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them
- To respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required
