We are recruiting for a Staff Experience Managerwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The purpose of this role is to lead the design, delivery, communication and evaluation of the Trust's culture and engagement programme and to manage Staff Experience to create and maintain a positive culture in line with the Trust's People strategy.

The post holder will support the Head of Wellbeing and Staff Experience to ensure that staff feel supported, valued and recognised with high levels of engagement and participation in our initiatives.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will act as a Champion for Culture and Engagement, develop and manage the Trust Culture Programme, researching and developing methods to support continuous improvement in Trust Culture and Engagement.

Working with internal and external stakeholders, promote Culture and Engagement, design, deliver and evaluate culture training and development.

Working with stakeholders ensuring the Staff Compact Framework is embedded and aligned with Trust Values and Behaviours.

Develop and coordinate the annual Staff Survey and monthly People Pulse surveys.

Manage and facilitate the Corporate Welcome Induction event for new colleagues, working with stakeholders to ensure an excellent on-boarding experience is delivered.

Manage and plan appropriate staff Reward and Recognition events including Long Term Service Awards and Annual Staff Awards ensuring expectations from stakeholders are delivered.

Job responsibilities

Communications

Work in partnership with Trust Communications to ensure a joined-up brand and identity on all communications on culture, staff engagement and staff experience.

Work in partnership with the HR Workforce team to manage the annual staff survey.

Day-to-day responsibility for maintaining the Trust culture and staff experience intranet pages and ensuring up to date and relevant content

Manage induction bookings for new colleagues ensuring all mandatory training is appropriately scheduled.

Work in partnership with clinical training teams to understand and develop appropriate induction schedules for new colleagues.

Data Analysis, Evaluation And Policy Development

Project manage the annual Staff Survey and monthly People Pulse surveys. Analyse the data gathered and report on and present results as required.

Administer, analyse and report on the Onboarding Staff Experience survey and other staff experience surveys as required.

Manage the development, monitoring, review and evaluation of Trust Culture and Staff Experience initiatives assimilating data from various sources including ESR, workforce and internal survey data.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the On-Boarding process with a view to enhance new-starter staff experience.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in a relevant topic or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Membership of the CIPD or similar professional body desirable


Knowledge

Essential

  • Thorough & demonstrable understanding of how culture affects patient care and staff experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in presentation skills being able to facilitate large groups both face to face and virtual platforms e.g Microsoft Teams.
  • Appreciation of group dynamics and the impact on learning interventions


Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS.
  • Experience of problem solving and developing creative solutions in order to bring about change.
  • Committed to developing staff to ensure that we have the right people with the right skills to deliver high quality patient care


Skills

Essential

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and have a high level of resilience
  • Able to cope with a fast moving and challenging role and manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to relate to staff and therefore understand how culture and behaviours affect colleaugues
