Nottingham University Hospitals Trust are looking for qualified cardiac physiologists to join our non invasive team. If you are an experienced echocardiographer or newly qualified physiologist with a desire to expand your skills in a large tertiary centre then we may have the job for you.
We are looking for enthusiastic team members with a passion for echocardiography who can help us in our provision of outstanding patient care. In return we can offer you a well established training program in echo and experience in a variety of specialist areas such as physiologist led valve services and ICC clinics, multidisciplinary heart failure clinics, contrast echo, stress echo and adult and paediatric congenital assessments.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will predominantly work within our echo service providing high quality scans to a variety of patient groups including in patients at our large acute hospital and major trauma centre and our post cardiac surgery patients in the Trent Cardiac Centre. You will also support our GP open access service and have the opportunity to learn paediatric echocardiography.
We provide out of hours provision for emergency echo and suitably qualified physiologists will be required to assist with this service.
You will also work in our ambulatory service analysing ECG recordings and supervising junior colleagues. Experience of treadmill stress and head up tilt table testing will also be an advantage.
Please note: This is a non invasive post only.
About us
We are a large department of friendly physiologists who work across our two hospitals. Over recent years we have developed our staff training program and this has resulted in a team of physiologists who are highly skilled and motivated and very adept at supporting others to develop their particular areas of interest and skills.
