Job summary
This is an opportunity for a strong Project Support Officer to join a fast moving and agile environment. You will be supporting on a variety of projects ranging from Trust wide projects to small works. You will be a highly skilled in the co-ordination, planning and management of projects.
As a skilled Project Support Officer you will be a self starter who is capable of using your own initiative, working efficiently without supervision and has a great ideas. Main duties of the job
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Provide support to the Programme Lead and Project Team in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of projects.
Reporting into the Programme Lead, your work will directly influence the success, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of projects.
Responsible for managing information and documentation, preparing reports, liaising with key stakeholders and providing general support to the Project Team.
Enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge, and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.

- Support the Programme Lead and project team in the co-ordination, planning, management and control of key projects.
- Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams and liaise with key stakeholders to maintain information flow and to help maintain an effective working team and project delivery.
- Contribute to continual service improvement and propose changes to own project, service, initiative work, informing policy and making recommendations for more effective delivery.
- Receive and deliver complex and sensitive information in written and oral form. Ensuring accurate capture and tactful deliver at all times.
- Analyse complex data sets as required by the project team to build project plans.
- Maintain up-to-date data, within the project and programme management tool, essential for creating project progress reports, risk registers etc.
- Organise key project meetings such as Project Boards; business case, risk and issue, benefit workshops, and provide secretariat support as required.
- Create and manage deployment plans, based on the analysis of multiple data streams. Collation of data to co-ordinate sessions that have the least impact on clinicians.
- When working on projects, be aware of the policies in place in the areas being impacted and seek out improvements to policy and service.
- Participate and occasionally lead training within the team on project principles, and wider within project deployments.

- Experience working in an IT project environment supporting all project phases including Proposal, Initiation, Design, Implementation, Closure and Review
- Strong stakeholder management
- Organising events for staff and wider audiences
- Proven ability working in an administrative role, including initiating and maintaining office systems
Desirable
- Secretarial/administrative experience in the NHS and/or senior corporate level
- Understanding of NHS clinical and corporate governance processes and statutory frameworks
- Experience of developing project documentation/template
