MULTI SKILLED CRAFTSMAN (Electrical)
BASE: Trust Wide (Initially based at Wycombe or Stoke Mandeville Hospital)
GRADE: Band 5
HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours (plus on call as required)
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
To assist the Operations Managers and other estates professionals to deliver high quality and value for money building services across the Trust's property portfolio ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations , NHS standards and any other statutory requirements.
Main duties of the job
Support estates professionals to ensure that all building and engineering works are operated within Health and Safety regulations, NHS standards and any other statutory requirements. Undertake essential repair work and general maintenance activities as requested. Installation of or modification to services to enable Installation of new and replacement equipment or plant. Undertake the Approved Person role as required for Low Voltage Electrical Services, Steam Plant and Systems, Pressure Systems Obtain permits to work in high risk environments including asbestos or confined spaces, ensuring appropriate safety measures are in place to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment before commencement of the work. Undertake new work practices arising from changes in legislative codes of practice and guidelines, employing suitable resources. Undertake planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with the required schedule. Participate in the operation of any performance management scheme by working within the scheme and completing all paper work required by the scheme. At all times of on duty carry Trust communication devices (mobile phones, pagers or radio) to facilitate immediate response to emergencies and comply with requirements of Health and Safety policies and current HTM's. Participate in an on call rota for Property Services Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
