The Family Care Division from Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a Principal Service Lead for their Paediatric Dietetic Service and Health Families Team. This is an exciting opportunity if you are looking for a new challenge in your career in a joint leadership and managerial team to combine both your clinical, leadership and management skills.

Main duties of the job

As Principal Service Lead you will be responsible for leading our dynamic well established Dietetic Team across both acute and community settings. The post holder will need to be a qualified, HCPC register Dietetican with highly developed clinical knowledge/skills and significant post-graduate experience in leading Dietetic Services.

We are looking for a leader and role model, with excellent organisation and communication skills, extensive clinical experience and a proven track record of highly effective leadership and management skills. We are looking for someone with a positive approach, who is solution focused with a proven track record of managing change. You should be able to work on your own initiative, with the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload. You will also ideally have experience in service development, performance management, budget control and attendance management.

The post holder will need to be able to develop good working relationships at all levels and liaise effectively with a wide range of clinicians, managers and stakeholders as well as children, young people and their families.

You will need to be flexible in your working pattern to meet the needs of the services. This post is community based and ideally we are looking for someone who is able to travel around the borough.

  • Experience and skills in relation to line management and leadership
  • Knowledge and experience of local and national policies and procedures

  • Knowledge and experience of working in relation to SEND legislation
