Staff Nurse (Band 5) - Based At The Royal Bournemouth Hospital

A position has become available for a Staff Nurse in the Renal Satellite Unit at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, working variable shift patterns of: Early- 7.00am - 16.00 Late- 12.00 noon - 20.00 or Twilight- 16.00 - 00:00.The Renal Satellite Unit is part of the Dorset Renal Service, with the main Renal Unit based at the Dorset County Hospital, where there is also a 14 bedded Nephrology ward and full Multidisciplinary Renal team.

Main duties of the job

This is a developmental post where you will learn how to deliver renal replacement therapies for those patients with end stage renal disease.

The Dorset Renal Unit can offer you a wide range of Nephrology Nursing experiences. You will be supported through your training and an educational programme of study days and renal competencies are provided for theoretical input into the whole learning process.

Previous Renal Nursing experience is desired but not required. A minimum of 24 months post-registration experience is required. All training will be provided in-house.

  • Evidence of CPD.
