Main duties of the job

You will be part of our friendly, hardworking Endoscopy Team, responsible for the nursing assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. You will perform a range of clinical and non-clinical duties, some of these responsibilities will include: Organising and prioritising your own workload Assist in the decontamination of endoscopes (following training) Supervising junior staff/students who are providing care to patients Contributing to the effective discharge planning of patients Assisting during endoscopy procedures requiring sedation and/or local anaesthesia Maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives, carers and other members of the multidisciplinary team If you would like to work with a supportive team in a dynamic, well-established but continually developing unit where we are committed to delivering the best possible care to our patients, we would love to hear from you!

About the role and our team

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Endoscopy Practitioner to join our team within Manx Care at Noble’s Hospital!

  • Time + 30% for work after 8pm

A relocation package of up to �7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of �250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of �3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Registered Operating Department Practitioner on HCPC register.
  • Basic Life Support.
