We are now recruiting International Mental Health Nurses to our trust. We are particularly looking to hear from Mental Health/Psychiatric Nurses who have passed their IELTS/OET and completed or in the process of completing their Mental Health Nurse Test of Competency (CBT) .
As part of your application, please state your Mental Health experience and your current NMC application stage.
We are looking for highly motivated nurses who can demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal qualities. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast paced environment, have a positive outlook and ensure that delivering a high quality service, which genuinely engages with service users, carers and other stakeholders, is a key priority.
Main duties of the job
This role entails taking responsibility for the day to day management of the ward as required in support of the ward manager and deputies, including teaching, supervision of junior staff/students. In addition to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (M.D.T) to develop person centred holistic care and maintaining individual's quality of life assessing them for appropriate community placements.
Initially, you will join the trust as a Band 4 HCA whilst you are working towards passing your OSCE in Mental Health and becoming a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health). You will be provided with bespoke training and support to enable you to successfully complete your OSCE exam and register with the NMC as part of the Mental Health Workforce.
The position requires shift work, including occasional nights, on a rotational basis.
