Job summary
Following the recent set-up of a dedicated team for clinical workforce development, we are looking for permanent band 6 clinician's with excellent skills in collaborating, training, pastoral support and project management. You will also need to be a creative problem-solver and keen to try new ways to recruit and retain our clinical staff.
The workforce role is specifically focused on workstreams and initiatives for our Band 2-4 roles and non-medical international recruits. It will also support developments and training related to medical devices and the safecare agenda.
We have received national recognition with the achievement of the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award for International Nurses and Midwives in 2022,and in 2023 the NHS Support Worker PastoralSupportQualityAward at the Gold Level.We'd love you to be a part of this on-going work.
Self-motivated, displaying current high level skills in ward based and/or community clinical work and confidence in presenting both face to face and through virtual platforms is important for this role. We are also looking for a passion to develop and support others combined with the ability to build relationships rapidly. Your own development in this role will be supported with access to in-house and external training to help you meet the full requirements of the job role and support your career .
This role will involve work across all ESNEFT sites.
Main duties of the job
You will assist in the delivery of all workforce workstreams and initiatives including Bands 2-4 and International Recruits.
Collaborate with senior ward staff and Lead Practice Educators, to implement and support workforce initiatives.
You will assist with the training of new medical devices which are rolled out across the trust, when required.
If required, you will be expected to support the Clinical Education Team and work within the clinical area with nurses on an individual basis to develop/enhance clinical skills.
