We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and highly skilled Pelvic Health Specialist Physiotherapist to join our specialist Pelvic Health Service at Wirral Community Foundation NHS Trust as Operational Lead.

Main duties of the job

You must possess physiotherapy degree or recognised equivalent qualification and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with GP's and other healthcare professionals. Good IT skills are essential as the role requires working across a range of clinical systems.

About us

The Pelvic Health service is provided from two community clinics and enjoys close links with our local acute trust. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with our partners in the acute trust as well as other stakeholders to promote the service and improve outcomes for the patients we serve.

The Wirral peninsula sits between Merseyside and North Wales and has excellent transport links to North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, as well as the historic city of Chester.

Job responsibilities

You will have experience of assessing and treating a wide range of complex Pelvic Health conditions including bowel dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain and colorectal conditions. Wirral Foundation Trust actively encourages staff to develop and progress in their role and training and support will be provided to complement and expand your existing knowledge and skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • Physiotherapy Degree or Recognised equivalent qualification
  • Registered member of HCPC
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses at a post graduate equivalent level with an accompanying portfolio of evidence/experience to level 7


Experience

Essential

  • Relevant specialist experience of treating a wide range of complex Pelvic Health conditions including bowel dysfunction and chronic pelvic pain
  • Can manage own caseload of complex problems independently
  • Knowledge of current trends in the management of clinical specialist area


Skills

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and commitment under difficult circumstances
  • Can use a variety of assessment techniques
  • Demonstrate analytical and reflection skills
  • Understands and can use the principals of prioritisation
