Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate a person-centred approach and have effective interpersonal and organisational skills. Previous NHS Hospital pharmacy experience, including mental health, would be desirable. You will also be expected to participate in the weekend duty and on call rotas, following a period of induction and training.The rotational post offers you an excellent opportunity for band 6 to 7 progression. You will be encouraged and supported in your development through the rotations which will be further enhanced by the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, which you will be expected to complete in your role as a foundation pharmacist. The post-holder will have an opportunity to provide specialist mental health services to sites such as in-patients, home treatment teams and community mental health teams.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 3 month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Master's Degree in pharmacy followed by the completion of pre- registration training and experience.
• To be working towards or willing to work towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.

Desirable

• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society(RPS)

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

• Experience of working to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
