**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes currentEast Cheshire NHS Trust employees, bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.**

We are seeking to recruit 2 dynamic, enthusiastic Band 6 sister/charge nurses with experience in caring for acute adult patients within general medicine at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The post holder will be required to support and work alongside other senior team members, ensuring effective clinical skills and knowledge are maintained at all times, acting as a role model demonstrating effective leadership whilst deputizing for the Senior Sister as required.

We are looking for someone who really wants to make a difference to our patients experience and who is keen to broaden their knowledge and skills.

Hours per week: 37.5 and 30

Main duties of the job

The role of the band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse is to support, contribute to and assist the Band 7 Senior Sister in the leadership and the management of the Ward 11 Team and to take a lead responsibility for the development, monitoring and implementation of high quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure continuity of service provision and standards are maintained and improved.

  • Evidence of post basic training/qualifications and at least 4 years experience at Band 5
  • Acute Care skills course e.g. ILS, ALERT
