An exciting 12 month fixed term/ secondment opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team at Reaside Clinic.
The successful applicant will join an already established Occupational Therapy Service, which aims to provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation to our service users with complex needs. The service is committed to the development of research, with opportunities to participate. The post holders will utilise their professional skills and creativity to develop therapeutic programmes of care for the individuals within residential units, therapy centre and community across the whole care pathway.
The service prides itself on striving to support the recovery of working age males detained under both criminal and civil sections of the Mental Health Act who experience severe and enduring mental health problems, acute mental illness and often present with behaviours that challenge. As a recovery focused professional, you will act as a role model in promoting recovery, addressing inequalities such as employment, education and physical health.

- To support the leadership and operational management of the delivery of an evidenced based Occupational Therapy treatment service within Secure Care.
- To provide leadership within a recovery focused model of care and trauma informed care model.
