An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy teams at UHD.
As a Band 5 within our teams we can offer you:
A one-year post graduation Preceptorship Programme
A wide range of experience in rotations available across acute hospital sites, and into the community through our collaborative partnerships and Discharge to Assess pathways, or the potential for a static post in one team.
Profession specific training
Continuing Professional Development and Training opportunities
The opportunity to learn from highly skilled therapists within collaborative therapy teams
Supportive, friendly therapy teams
Peer support from existing Band 5s
Mentorship
Clinical supervision

To be successful in securing this post, you will have:
- Experience of working as an occupational therapist (or relevant placement experience)
- Willing to participate in 7 day working on a rota basis
We welcome applicants wishing for part-time or full time posts, and who wish for rotational or static posts in teams. This can be discussed on application and through interview.
Base Location: Poole Hospital or Royal Bournemouth Hospital

- Pre reg Degree in Occupational Therapy either BSc(Hons) or MSc (Hons)
- HCPC Registration

- Ability to carry out all aspects of the post which involves patient handling and carrying equipment
- Good problem solving and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise

- Student experience/placements in the following areas: o Acute physical inpatient areas o Community health areas
- Use of functional assessment and activity analysis
