Main duties of the job

The first phase of the RDC offers a GP urgent referral service for patients with non-specific symptoms which could indicate cancer, as well as redirecting patients from cohorts of site specific Two Week Wait pathways. The RDC will provide a rapid evaluation of the patient to reach a definitive diagnosis, advice to the patient on management of their condition, signposting to appropriate support services and rapid onward treatment should cancer be diagnosed.

The post holder will work cross-site across the NCA between Oldham Community Diagnostic Centre and Salford Royal Hospital, where they will be involved in offering clinical care and clinical leadership within the RDC.
