Main duties of the job
George Eliot Hospital is seeking a part time Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our stroke rehabilitation team based on the Felix Holt stroke unit. You will have the opportunity to be part of our friendly and supportive inpatient therapy team and undertake a leadership role within a dedicated and proactive stroke rehabilitation MDT.
Key responsibilities within the role include planning, co-ordinating and developing the inpatient rehabilitation service for stroke survivors providing highly specialist physiotherapy assessments and advice planning and delivering specialised stroke rehabilitation programmes overseeing the development and running of group sessions working closely with the MDT, stroke survivors and their significant others to set rehabilitation goals and plan complex discharges providing leadership, support, training and appraisal to junior staff, students and assistants and taking a lead on further development of safe and effective utilisation of the rehabilitation environment.

The stroke rehabilitation service at George Eliot Hospital is looking to recruit a part time band 6 Physiotherapist to join our therapy team.
This post is based on Felix Holt ward at George Eliot Hospital which is a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation unit for stroke patients from across Coventry and Warwickshire. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive MDT focused on providing exceptional standards of stroke rehabilitation. There is an ethos within the team of ongoing continuing professional development to achieve and maintain high standards of evidence based and holistic interventions throughout the service. The post holder will receive clinical supervision and individual performance reviews as well as regular training opportunities via in-service training, external courses where appropriate, and attractive trust led leadership and development courses.
