Main duties of the job

The 18-month rotations enable further skill development and expertise in the assessment and management of complex neurological conditions across the patient pathway, including critical care, acute stroke and neurology, and inpatient neurorehabilitation.

Our 46 bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) includes a cohort of patients with highly complex neurological presentations and an ICU OT competency-based programme has been developed and presented at conference. Our acute stroke unit has consistently excellent SSNAP ratings, and our neurology beds offer exposure to acute, chronic, long-term, and rare neurological presentations. Therapy Services at the Royal Free are truly interdisciplinary with a strong emphasis on active learning, development, and staff wellness. You will be well supported by Clinical Lead Neurosciences Band 8 OTs across both sites and provided with opportunity to work on projects.
