Main duties of the job

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications & Training

Essential

  • Good general education
  • Registered Nurse (General)
  • ENB 998/371 or equivalent


Desirable

  • Evidence of further continued professional development
  • First Line Management Course


Experience

Essential

  • Specialist requirements
  • Experience of teaching students, HCA's and qualified staff
  • Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative


Desirable

  • Previous experience as a shift/team leader


Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential

  • Able to manage own case load with supervision
  • Excellent communication skills essential
  • Awareness of the professional scope of practice
  • Awareness of the DoH guidance of clinical governance
  • Self-motivated


Desirable

  • Able to use computer


Special Conditions

Essential

  • May be required to work in other departments if requested to do so


Desirable

  • Able to work Internal rotation to nights
