Job summary

We are recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. We are currently seeking a Physiotherapist to work with us at Band 6 level. This role is to work as part of the team covering the general medical and care of the elderly wards.

We offer excellent opportunities for new and experienced band 6's wanting to enhance their skills. We offer strong professional leadership and rotations across East and North Hertfordshire, working in partnership with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the post include assessment and treatment of patients within the wards at Lister Hospital, supervision and mentoring of non-qualified staff and students, taking part in in-service training and taking a role in service improvement projects.

Ability to travel easily to visit patients and trust sites is essential for this role.

Person Specification

Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development


Previous Experience

Essential

  • Previous relevant NHS post graduate experience
  • Knowledge of Protocols and Care Pathways for relevant patient groups
  • Experience of integrated working
  • Knowledge of relevant standardised assessment tools and outcome measures
  • Evidence of clinical practise influenced by evidence based practise
  • Knowledge of advanced anatomy and physiology related to clinical area
  • Implementation and adherence to Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Standards/Guidelines
  • Student placement or staff members supervisor
