Reporting to the Lead for Divisional Governance, the successful post holder willsupport the delivery of the divisional risk, quality and safety agenda ensuring divisional compliance with regulatory body standards and outcomes.
You will bebe directly responsible for a portfolio of services and work withkey clinical and non-clinical staff to maintain the profile of governance/risk, ensuring that related strategies are aligned with the culture of the Trust.
You will workclosely with the corporate teams ensuring the analysis and presentation of governance/risk management information and trend data to support action and learning andcoordinate divisional responses to external bodies e.g. NICE/FOI/alerts and the submission of evidence as required for accreditation purposes.

Main duties of the job
- To support the delivery of the divisional risk, quality and safety agenda ensuring divisional compliance with CQC outcomes
- To be responsible for the assessment of clinical and non-clinical risk within the division, including Adverse Incidents, Serious Incident, GP Quality Alerts and Complaints
- To ensure there is an integrated approach to all aspects of risk management, with robust systems to support this
- To liaise with key clinical and non-clinical staff to maintain the profile of governance/risk, ensuring that related strategies are embedded within the culture of the division
- To work closely with the corporate teams ensuring the analysis and presentation of governance/risk management information and trend data to support action and learning
- To coordinate divisional responses to external bodies e.g. NICE/FOI/alerts and the submission of evidence as required for accreditation purposes

Job responsibilities
- To coordinate the implementation of the divisional clinical governance programme linked to the organisational governance strategy
- In conjunction with the corporate and divisional team to produce reports and analyse qualitative and quantitative information in such a way that supports directorate staff to reflect and proactively develop both their practice & services
- To coordinate a rolling programme of clinical governance, reviewing information based upon trust and divisional priorities e.g. NSFs, NCEPOD, NICE and NPSA etc.
- To coordinate divisional responsibilities in relation to external accreditation, e.g. CQC registration NHS Litigation Authority Risk Management Standards
- To compile divisional reports in conjunction with the corporate risk/governance teams and DDNG for organisational risk/governance/H& S committees
- To implement the decisions taken by the divisional and organisational risk/governance committees and to monitor and review any changes implemented as part of the clinical governance action plan or work programme
- To build and develop information resources pertinent to clinical governance as a resource for the division e.g. clinical governance action log
- To be responsible for the efficient dissemination of governance and risk related information across the division
- To provide training and education programmes on clinical governance for all staff within the division in accordance with the overall Trust programme or local divisional initiatives
- To co-ordinate and support the chair of Divisional Governance meeting and DDNG, take minutes if required, and maintain and develop internal and external networks
