Job summary
We are looking for dynamic, confident and motivated mental health practitioners with excellent communication skills, who have the ability to assess and lead on clinical decision making to join our established Adult Mental Health Home First Team. This is an exciting and challenging role, working in a fast-paced work environment.
Home First offer an alternative to admission supporting people within the home environment. Your role will consist of face to face assessing of patients in crisis incorporating robust risk assessing and treatment planning for patients under the Home First Team. Staff within this team offer support to the local Crisis Cafes and there will be opportunity to gain experience with this team.
Main duties of the job
The Urgent Care Pathway consists of the Home First Team, the Hospital Liaison Team and the Crisis Response Team providing mental health crisis care for the Colchester and Tendring area. The teams work closely together and there are opportunities to experience working in these teams, if need arises.
Professional development is priority in the Urgent Care Pathway where individual and team training is available.

The team also covers the 111 Option 2 telephone contact service and a part of your role will be to take calls from service users contacting this service.
EPUT offer a fantastic relocation package of up to �8,000. Covering a number of expenditures for new recruits relocating from 30 miles or more from their new work base at EPUT.

- Registration Mental Health Nurse RMN Part 3 or equivalent social work/AHP qualification
- Meet the requirements for revalidation as set out by the NMC/HCPC

- Specific training in a recognised therapy e.g EMDR, CBT, DBT

- Experience of working in a health, social care or community setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
