An exciting opportunity has arisen for a non medical prescribing nurse to specialise in childrens ADHD. The position is open to all registered nurses who hold an Independent/supplementary prescribing qualification. Experience of working with children with ADHD is desirable.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Nurse will provide a high level of nursing care and treatment to Service Users accessing the service with high care needs due to their complex difficulties and/or associated risks.The Specialist Nurse will practice autonomously within the Pathway and in accordance with local and trust Policy, Protocols, Standards and Guidelines.The post holder will be grounded in nursing whilst undertaking advanced practice procedures and highly specialised therapeutic interventions, promoting recovery and Wellbeing and maximising independence.

Support the team managers with team development and other practitioner performance and if applicable to the service, assist the clinical managers and contribute to individual practitioners performance in relation to non-medical prescribing.Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical services leading on defined projects as agreed with the Clinical Manager and in collaboration with the Clinical Lead and Pathway Manager.
