Do you have a passion for nursing vascular patients? Do you have an interest in complex wound care? If so, the vascular surgery department is currently looking for a passionate band 5 CNS to join our friendly, dynamic and multi-disciplinary team in order to assist our service in providing the best standard of care to our patients both in a clinic and ward based setting.

Main duties of the job
- Act as support to the Specialist Vascular Nursing Service, under the direction of the Lead Vascular CNS.
- Assist in comprehensive health and clinical assessment of vascular patients, under the direction of the Lead Vascular CNS/Vascular CNS
- Develop skill and knowledge which will support the Lead Vascular CNS/Vascular CNS to -
- Determine diagnosis, care needs, devise plans of care within agreed protocols, monitor and evaluate progress and modify the plan of care as necessary to optimise patient status.
- Identify, assess and manage risk factors associated with vascular disease, advising patients, and planning and agreeing lifestyle modifications necessary to limit disease progression.
- Contribute information and assessment which assists the medical team to plan appropriate treatment interventions.
- Determine need for, and make referral to, senior medical team due to deterioration in patient status.
