Job summary
The Rapid Response Liaison Psychiatry MHSOP service based at Kings Mill hospital is offering a substantive Band 6 Liaison Nurse post for an organised, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work and are committed to working with older adults.
This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of �2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
The Liaison Psychiatry service for older adults seeks to deliver a comprehensive, integrated liaison psychiatry service for people over the age of 65 in all departments of Kings Mill Hospital, Newark General and Mansfield and Ashfield Community Hospitals. It provides a year round proactive supportive service to our acute colleagues to facilitate the best possible care to those presenting with mental health conditions such as dementia, acute confusion and delirium.
A core requirement of our service is to provide training and education to our acute hospital colleagues and it is expected that the successful applicant will take an active role in this.
