Job summary
We are looking for a band 6 Mammographer to join our radiographic workforce at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Trust.
We are lucky enough to be fully equipped with 2 breast imaging suites, 6 CT scanners, 3 MRI scanners, 10 DR mobiles and 10 DR general rooms.
Looking ahead, we have secured substantial additional funding from Health Education England for Radiographer/Mammographer training and role development. Work is commencing to build a new bespoke interventional suite on the Watford site, which will vastly improve our fluoroscopy services and offer exciting role development opportunities.
Outside of work you'll also benefit from being on good transport links with London (Watford underground), being a short walk into different shopping centres and our department socials.

- Opportunities to rotate through cross-sectional imaging if desire

- Leading on breast imaging lists and supporting the mammography service.
- Being an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of imaging services to Radiologists and patients.
- Mentoring junior staff and students.
- Completing and record keeping of QA testing.
- Following IRMER17 regulations whilst undertaking radiology examinations to a high standard.
