Job summary

We are excited to be able to expand our current rotations and as a result, recruit to our Band 5 Occupational Therapy posts at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

There are opportunities to rotate across our Winchester and Basingstoke sites on a variety of rotations and specialities throughout the patient pathway. These settings include surgery, ED, medicine, cardiology, elderly care, orthopaedics including trauma and elective, and stroke. There is also a possibility that we may be able to add a mental health rotation in the Basingstoke area in the future.

A rotation is a great way to begin your career or to continue developing your existing skills at a Band 5 level. You will be supported by experienced clinicians who will teach you the skills you need to deliver excellent patient care and progress your career.

A successful applicant will be expected to hold a manual driving licence or have access to their own car with business insurance, unless medically exempt

Main duties of the job

Assess and treat a variety of conditions across all rotations whilst working as part of a wider therapy team to promote and develop evidence-based care.

You will be expected to be partake in 7-day working and the in-service training rota as required

About us

Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital is on the edge of the lovely town of Basingstoke, about 50 miles from London and 30 miles from the south coast. It is easily reached from the M3 and is accessible by public transport (although you will need to hold a manual driving license for the post).

Royal Hampshire County Hospital is located in the vibrant city of Winchester. It is a historic city with lots to offer and events throughout the year.

Essential

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC Registration

Skills / Knowledge

Essential

• Experience in Inpatient setting
• evidence of good verbal and written communication

Desirable

• Previous Band 5 Experience
• Evidence of MDT working
• wide range of previous clinical experience

Driving Licence

Essential

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Desirable

• Access to own car for work purposes
