Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Complex medical ward 8B Medical Directorate at Liverpool University Hospital (New Royal site) for a dynamic, committed, compassionate and highly enthusiastic staff nurses to join a hardworking and close knit team.
The post is for a full time position to work 37.5 hours per week on internal rotation. Shifts consist of long days, early shifts/late shifts and night shifts.All candidates must posses a UK NMC registration.
Ward 8B is a 28 bedded ward caring for patients from 3 specialities ( Infectious diseases/ palliative care/haematology)
Exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and develop clinical skills in all areas with opportunities with in house teaching and external courses.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team caring for patient and undertaking delegated tasks from the ward manager/ward sister with the opportunity to improve and expand on your clinical knowledge.
On 8b there is a supportive, friendly team making staff feel valued and motivated. We put patients at the heart of all that we do and working collaboratively to deliver the very best for our patients.There is an excellent preceptorship programme designed to facilitate efficient development of competence, confidence and expertise. Support will be given at a clinical level by a Preceptor, and from a wider organisational structure including the Preceptorship Lead, Clinical Skills team and Learning and Development.You must possess a caring, compassionate and positive manner and have excellent communication skills.
