Are you a Health Visitor with substantial experience, looking for the next step in your career?

Are you passionate about leadership, team building, providing and developing excellent services for children and young people?

If so Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated and determined Team leader to join our health Visiting service to ensure that children, young people and families get the best possible care and treatment when accessing services.

Main duties of the job

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated careorganisation with a budget of approximately �600 million and over 7,000 staff.     Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trusts vision is to be the best integrated care organisation within the NHS. The Health Visiting Service is within an integrated Acute and Community Directorate that sits within the Women & Children's Group. The Directorates vision is to deliver integrated care to support women, children and families to start well, grow well and live well.

    Our Health Visiting Service has been rated outstanding by CQC and we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated Health Visitor to work as a Team Leader within our service.

    Team leaders provide excellent leadership and clinical support to the workforce, this support enables our health visitors to empower children and their families to make healthy lifestyle choices for improved health outcomes.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that provides high standards of care to children and families and strives to improve the wellbeing of the workforce through training opportunities and restorative support.

    Person Specification



    • Significant experience in Health Visiting



    • Community Specialist HV degree
    • Evidence of degree level studies
    • NMC registration
    • RGN/ Registered HV/RSN
    • Nurse Prescribing qualification (HV only)
    • Teaching qualification e.g. 997/998 or equivalent


    • Appropriate management/ Leadership qualification or working towards
