Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology departments at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH), but will require rotation across all hospital sites.

South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is already nationally recognised as one of the leading healthcare providers in England for the quality of our services. The Trust is a designated regional Major trauma centre with a 24-hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.

Main duties of the job

The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registration
  • State Registered Radiographer/Ultrasonographer with post graduate Ultrasound qualification.
  • Masters Level


Knowledge

Essential

  • Staff management responsibilities with management qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of NHS and social care national agenda and reporting processes and systems.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of current NHS and social care policy and their implication for professional practice.
