Job summary
Do you enjoy the challenge of working out in the community and within the comfort of patients own homes?
Main duties of the job
We are currently recruiting to a permanent post in West Somerset and would like to hear from enthusiastic, hardworking Registered Nurses to become a part of our friendly District Nursing team.
Our District Nursing area covers Minehead, Exmoor and Williton and the Quantock hills. we serve 5 GP surgeries and are in partnership with The primary care network which involves working alongside living better nurses and village agents as well as many volunteer groups. We also work closely with Adult Social care and the integrated services of Older persons mental health and Rehab.
You must be a Registered General Nurse and community experience is desirable but not essential as full support will be given.
Responsibilities include: End of life care, Venepuncture, medication administration, wound care, leg ulcer management, catheter care, bowel management, continence assessments, diabetes management
Shift patterns include: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 2pm-10pm
Please note, we are open to hearing from applicants who are looking for either full or part-time hours.
