Job summary
Deputy Clinical Safety Officer
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Healthcare Professional with a particular passion for patient safety, education and training to support the safety of digital technology being used clinically at Salisbury Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Professional to join the Digital Care team to lead, support and deliver on enabling the Trust to work towards compliance with the mandated NHS Digital Clinical Safety standards DCB 0129 and DCB 0160.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) will support the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO)/ Trust CSO in providing clinical leadership, education, and implementation of the Digital Clinical Safety standards. This new role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has the commitment and passion to support the digital care agenda and professional development of staff, ensuring that our members of staff have the appropriate skills to optimise patient safety.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of clinical risk management, and experience of working in partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to be approachable and able to flex to competing demands of the digital care workload to accommodate both internal and external changes. Your ability to influence and support technology solutions will be key in driving forward changes to support the digital agenda, to enable the delivery of high-quality care to our service users. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have a good understanding of patient safety risks.
