Job summary

We are a team of registered dietitians, dietetic assistant practitioners and dietetic assistants working across east and west Kent, and we are looking for a Band 6 Specialist Community Dietitian to join our team based in Whitstable.

We provide nutrition advice on a wide range of general and specialist nutritional needs for children and adults. Across Kent we provide outpatientclinics; group education, visit community hospitals, care homes, and visit housebound patients at home.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a large and supportive Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Service in KCHFT working across Kent.

You will be managing a caseload of adult community dietetics patients, providing expert adult dietary advice in the East Kent area throughindividual community outpatient clinics, home visits, care homes, community hospitals and any patient groups required.

You will also work alongside other dietitians, to fully participate in the local strategic formulation and implementation of the service and of pathways and protocols that impact upon the nutritional needs of adult patients.

Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics currently employs over 50 dietetic staff working in both acute and community settings. We believe that clinicians should focus on clinical work and that is why we have invested in our administration team, allowing you more time with your patients.

Additional Working Pattern: shifts to fall between Monday to Friday
