West Hertfordshire Community Respiratory Service provided by CLCH NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic forward thinking Community Respiratory Physiotherapist who wants to specialise and increase their knowledge and skills in community respiratory care to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team.
You will be working in an innovative team, that is currently working towards achieving pulmonary rehabilitation accreditation status through the RCP. Additionally, the service is developing its virtual hospital provision.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supported by Band 7 Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapy staff to develop their skills and provide services including pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy in diagnosed respiratory disease, hospital at home, management of disordered breathing, virtual hospital, and oxygen assessments.
You will receive training to use skills across boundaries (nursing and physiotherapy) to benefit our patients.
This post requires you working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrating effective communication skills are essential.

- To work as member of a highly specialist community respiratory team providing carer for patients with COPD, chronic asthma, bronchiectasis, ILD, respiratory failure, sleep apnoea and OHS
- To provide assessment and management for patients who require pulmonary rehabilitation, dysfunctional breathing pattern disorder, hospital at home, virtual hospital, and home oxygen therapy
- To be part of the 7-day Airways Virtual Hospital, and participate in weekend working as per rota
- As a respiratory physiotherapist and a member of the multidisciplinary team, contribute to the development of the respiratory services
