Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Deputy Community Sisters in 4 of the District Nursing Teams within the Caerphilly borough.
The Deputy sister role will involve clinical and managerial opportunities and will be part of the East and North Neighbourhood Care Networks striving to meeting the needs of the population.
These are very exciting roles with great opportunity to develop and progress in your community career.
The nursing bases are at Pontllanfraith Health Center, Bargoed , Cwmfelinfach and Gelligaer.
Main duties of the job
Within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, our Clinical Futures Strategy sets out how we are moving to delivering care closer to home. Primary and Community Services are at the heart of the model and central to developing a new relationship with patients investing and strengthening community and social care services to support and treat patients in their homes and communities providing quality outcomes. In order to deliver the strategy we are offering exciting opportunities working closely across the health board and in partnership with key stakeholders.
We are looking for inspiring nurses who are enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to work within the District Nursing service to deliver a broad range of clinical interventions and share their expertise. The individual will be required to undertake managerial responsibilities as well as delivering teaching to less experienced staff .
If you hold the Community Specialist Practitioner Qualification and have significant experience of community nursing, we would be delighted for you to apply and would offer a permanent position. Staff wishing for a development opportunity and working towards a SPQ will be offerred a secondment.
We are looking to appoint people who are passionate about providing high quality care and we are committed to developing and investing in our staff to improve patient outcomes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
