Job summary
Are you a Band 5 or Band 6 Dietitian who is looking for a fantastic opportunity to develop paediatric skills working within a dynamic team in a busy acute environment? We are looking for a Dietitian to join our team of 4 Advanced Paediatric Dietitians, and Dietetic Assistant. The team is based at Peterborough City Hospital and cover the paediatric unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon. You will provide both inpatient and outpatient paediatric services with a varied caseload, and with a responsibility for dietetic gastroenterology clinics. There will be opportunities to develop skills within Cystic Fibrosis, Allergy, Eating Disorders and Neonatology. There will be a requirement to travel between sites according to service need (Easy access by train or car). The Dietetic team has close working links with health visiting teams, the Community Children's nurses, the Community Dietetic team and with colleagues in the paediatric tertiary centres. We support the training of Students from the University of Hertfordshire.
Applicants interested in part time or full time will be considered. Band 5 development or Band 6 appointment, depending upon experience.

To work effectively and efficiently as an autonomous dietetic practitioner within uni-professional and multi-professional team environments in the hospital setting, ensuring safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards

- This is a specialist Dietetic role within the Nutrition & Dietetic Service with a focus on providing a Dietetic service in paediatrics.
- To provide specialist Dietetic advice and support to an inpatient and outpatient paediatric caseload, with a focus on general paediatrics and gastroenterology, working across Trust sites as required
- To provide supervision to the Dietetic Assistant Practitioner as required
