Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist, to work within the Enhanced Respiratory Service in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale as part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and an appropriately experienced practitioner in respiratory and oxygen therapy. You will need to be a registered professional who can demonstrate your commitment, enthusiasm and drive to develop your own clinical, managerial and team working skills within the service.

You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective teamwork. You will provide high quality care in an appropriate and timely manner which is responsive to patients need whilst adhering to recognised policies and guidelines.You will be supported through regular team meetings, 1-1 sessions, ongoing education with access to a professional team of nurses, AHPs and consultants to provide mentorship and support.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and well organised individual with highly developed skills within respiratory care to join the Enhanced Respiratory Service which provides:
  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation / long covid rehabilitation
  • Early supported discharge
  • Admission avoidance
  • Community Nurse Led and Consultant clinics
  • Motor Neuron Disease (MND)
  • Education and Teaching for the wider Rochdale community such as practice nurses, community staff within the Integrated Neighbourhood teams and GP's.

In short we are looking for a committed individual with the following attributes:o Registered professionalo Extensive previous experience in respiratory care.o Evidence of post registration training in respiratory careo A desire to learn and develop clinical skills and knowledge across all aspects of respiratory disease o Excellent standards of care and a positive attitude to managing change and developing services.o Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with patient's carers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
