Job summary

Patients are at the centre of everything we do. The implementation of the the UK's largest electronic patient record (EPR) system in September 2022, is already helping to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs. It provide real-time information about any patient's condition, treatment plan, diagnostic results, scheduled clinics and much more - providing timely and relevant advice to help clinical teams make the right decisions at the right time.The Digital Matron role will focus on inpatient, outpatient or midwifery & newborn workstreams. Working closely with the Lead for NMAHP Informatics, leading on projects to digitally transform practice and care experience.

Main duties of the job

The Digital Matron role is a varied, dynamic and fast paced role working across nursing, midwifery and AHP services supported by the Hive Delivery Authorities and the NMAHP Digital Forum. You will be a fantastic communicator and a keen collaborator with a passion for digital healthcare to continue our improvement of services through workflow re-design, education, quality improvement as well as contributing to research.

You'll have significant experience as at band 7 and have successfully led improvement or transformation projects in your clinical areas, experience in digital is advantageous but not essential. You'll be confident working across professional boundaries and have good experience negotiating and influencing people. Experience in risk management is essential ensuring patient safety is essential to our work. Having experience to teaching and presenting is also beneficial as you will be working with small and large groups of colleagues.
