Lead Nurse Band 8a
Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health
An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated nurse to join London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust's Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Service as a band 8a Lead Nurse.
A good understanding of confidentiality will be of paramount importance given the nature of our work, as is the ability to take a person centred approach, leading by example and engaging people.

Main duties of the job
This position seeks a Senior Sexual Health Nurse with significant post-registration qualification in Contraception and Genito Urinary Medicine. The post provides the opportunity to lead on education and development across the service with additional focus on service development.
The successful candidate will be patient focused and have enhanced strengths in communication, taking a compassionate and ultimately professional approach to the delivery of high quality, safe patient care at all times.
You will need to be an innovative individual who possesses excellent communication skills including a non-judgemental attitude. Excellent organizational and leadership skills in addition to possessing the ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
Working on an integrated model of care within a multi-disciplinary team you will possess the required clinical skill set to support the delivery of front line care and influence improvements in practice within HIV, contraception and GUM services.
