An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role into the above post.

Community Mental Health services are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users/patients and carers. You will be expected to provide leadership and clinical expertise to Pennine community mental health services.

You will have a sound clinical knowledge of the physical health needs for people who have mental health problems and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of physical health care for patients including physical health monitoring clinics for Pennine Network service users, and clinical delivery of mental health care in the community. You will have a Clinical Leadership role in the planning of and delivery of ECT across two sites within the Trust working closely with the ECT Leads, ECT Consultants and Acute Trust Anaesthetists. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a dynamic approach to problem solving, be able to form key relationships with partners within the trust and outside of the trust whilst adopting a can do attitude.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also provide leadership by example, being visible within teams and receiving feedback on standards from staff, visitors and patients. You will provide clinical leadership in Community Mental Health Teams/Community Hubs/ ARRS practitioners and have experience in a senior leader/manager role.

The role will also involve reviews of patient care, safety incidents, and undertaking Serious Incident Reviews, and will embed a learning approach within practice from this.

You should be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and be familiar with mental health community and inpatient services and teams.

This is a community role and will require travel between various clinics across the Network, and at times across the wider pan-lancs area. You will require your own car for travel between sites.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 although some flexibility in regard to start and finish times may be required. You may be required to join the Trusts Duty Matron on call rota, which would include weekends and nights.
