Job summary

Are you passionate about education and the opportunities it can offer to enable others to reach their full potential whilst also impacting on patient care? As an experienced educator, you will help influence and educate our unregistered workforce . The successful candidate will ensure our unregistered workforce attend the All Wales Induction Programme and also Continuous Professional Development days. You will also manage and lead a team of Health care support worker educators.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Educator to take forward the Healthcare support worker education agenda across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

This is an innovative and challenging role that will require excellent networking and communication skills and a thorough knowledge of Healthcare support worker education requirements to influence and drive the education agenda forward in CTMUHB and Wales. Part of the role includes managing educational funding streams and budgets to ensure they are used appropriately and efficiently.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • NMC registration
  • Relevant qualifications and/or working towards a MSc
  • Current knowledge of nursing/midwifery and educational issues


Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience as a nurse educator
  • Proven management and leadership experience


Desirable

  • Experience of collaborative working


Apptitude and ability

Essential

  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Prove teaching and presentation skills
  • demonstrates ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team


Desirable

  • Ability to speak welsh
