Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen fora clinical lead post at Cefn Yr Afon Rehabilitation Unit.

The post holder will need to work closely with the Unit Manager and act as their deputy, ensuring an effective unit management style with problem solving skills.

The post holderwill need toshow awareness of budget control and the need to utilise resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring a high standard of patient care.

The successful candidate would need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and their carers, clinical staff and other agencies.

The post holder will need to be innovative and forward thinking with the ability to lead and develop this service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the unit manager in providing day to day management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff for the unit. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude towards working with people with complex mental health needs and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure the effective running of the unit in the absence of the unit manager.

The post holder will act as an expertresource in the care and treatment of patients experiencing a range of mental health problems relevant to the area of practice.
