Main duties of the job
The Pre-operative Assessment Nurse is responsible for arranging and providing a comprehensive, effective and efficient assessment process for patients referred for inpatient, day case or specialist procedures. The nurse is responsible for ensuring patients are at an optimum level of health preoperatively and adequately prepared for surgery and discharge following their operation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Mentorship/ Preceptorship Qualification or equivalent
- BLS trained
- Knowledge of current preoperative assessment service and national guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
