Job summary
These 2 x Consultant posts have become vacant following the departure of the previous post holders overseas.
To provide Consultant leadership and support to the Inpatient and Community Services. Managing, along with two other consultant teams, the medical component of the North Complex Care team, as well as conducting medical reviews of patients from the Wellbeing service as requested. This will involve MDT working with a team comprised of 10 CPNs, 1 OT and 1 Psychologist, as well as 3 STR workers. The team receives (between three consultant teams) about 10 referrals per week and each consultant team has a case load of around 300, which is managed via the MDT and the medical team (consultant, specialty and junior doctors).

Reviews of inpatients from the designated sector, including Mental Health Act work as required. We operate a continuity model of service, and medics are expected to follow their patients through the inpatient journey. The post holder will be responsible for 4-8 inpatients on average.
