For a highly motivated individual to join our amazing team of nurses and AHP's who are passionate about the care and treatment of the service users on our ward. The Deputy Ward manager will work as part of an enthusiastic and supportive ward management team to shape the delivery of care and patient experience. Managerial and clinical responsibilities will include:
Main duties of the job
To act as a deputy to the ward manager in their absence.
- Provision of and participation in clinical and managerial supervision
- Clinical leadership in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment
- Clinical governance/assurance
- Shared responsibility for qualitative auditing and use of findings to support development of the team
- Shared operational responsibilities, such as safe staffing and performance management
- Contribution to service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Role modelling, in particular, demonstrating self-awareness in the context of a senior role
